Blazer Marine is made up of a father-son team that has a deep-rooted history in designing, building, and racing wooden hydroplanes. 

Brian Blazer, and his father, Bob Blazer, have over 60 years of combined experience with hydroplanes.  This experience started with the "real thing", that is, full-scale hydroplanes.  Bob Blazer, and his father (Brian's Grandfather), raced their own hydroplanes in the APBA circuit from the 1950's to the late 1970's.  Each boat they raced was hand-designed and hand-built from wood with a quality of craftsmanship that lasted through many years and races.

Today, Brian and Bob design, build, and race Radio Controlled Hydroplanes, with the same quality and craftsmanship that has been in their family for three generations.  Each boat is designed with optimal speed and performance in mind.

Blazer Marine uses the latest CAD technology to design all of the Whiplash hydroplanes. The plans are printed on a high quality plotter to ensure all of the pieces are perfect. The kits are cut from a CNC router for an exact precision second to none.
